Founded May 15, 1999 - in the Kelly Land Quarter of Alexandria, Louisiana, by Madam Thelma - this perfume house has created the worlds most enduring custom fragrances, custom parfum gifts and custom packaging. The Design House of Madam Thelma™ owns and operates Bayou Queen Perfumes™. Madam Thelma is also the designer of several retail fragrance lines, Fantasy Perfume™by , Queen of Fragrances™, Fantasy Summer Fragrances™, Parfums Romantica™, The Nectar Collection™, The Orchid Collection of Fragrances™, The Wedding Day Collection of Fragrances™, Fragrances of The Bayou™, The Daffodil Collection™, Garden of Eden Perfumes™, Fantasy Luxury Line Fragrances™, Platinum Ice Cologne For Men™ and more.
All products are pure and natural. Perfumery is an art where inspiration meets invention in combination with science and nature. A beautiful perfume is accomplished through a balance blend between fragrant notes. This results in a scent with it's own personality and creates an aura for the wearer which is distinctive and makes a statement that is unique.
Madam Thelma is a native of Oakland, California. She often enjoyed Summer vacations in the multi-cultural regions of Galt and Sacramento, California. This laid the foundation for her fluency in the German language. She relocated to Louisiana following the Loma Prieta Earthquake (San Francisco Earthquake) of 1989, and was captivated with the beauty of the Cane River region. She decided to make it her home. Although now retired she still enjoys creating fragrances for friends and family. Her daughter, Dominga is the present owner of The Design House of Madam Thelma.
Madam Thelma's many travels to Europe, Canada and The Caribbean have been the source of her inspiration. She studied at the Free University of Berlin in Germany and holds a BA in German.
